Intellectual property reporting

If you own a trademark or copyright and believe content shown on Repcurate infringes it, this page tells you how to reach us and what we need in order to act.

Read this first

Repcurate sells nothing and hosts no listings. It is a lookup tool that displays information and photographs published by third-party marketplaces (Taobao, Weidian, 1688) and by forwarding agents. Removing something from Repcurate does not remove it from those sites, and does not stop it being sold.

So a notice sent only to us will usually not achieve what you want. To have a listing taken down, notify the marketplace or agent that hosts it - their own IP complaint channels are the effective route. Notify us as well, and we will remove it from Repcurate.

What we can do

  • Remove a specific item or shop page from Repcurate.
  • Remove specific photographs from our pages.
  • Exclude a seller or an agent's data from our results.
  • Remove our own use of a mark, if we have used one incorrectly.

How to submit a notice

Email [email protected] with the subject line IP notice. Please include:

  • The right you hold. For a trademark: the mark, the registration number, the jurisdiction and the classes. For copyright: what the work is and how it is protected.
  • Who holds it. The rights holder's name, and - if you are not them - your authority to act on their behalf.
  • Exactly what to look at. The specific Repcurate URLs, and which element on each page you are complaining about. A whole-site request without identified pages cannot be acted on.
  • Why it infringes. Not merely that a product resembles yours - explain the infringement.
  • Your contact details, including a working email address.
  • Two statements: that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law; and that the information in your notice is accurate, made under penalty of perjury where that applies.

What happens next

We confirm receipt, review the notice ourselves, and reply with a decision and its reasons. Complete notices are normally handled within a few business days. Where the content originates from a third party, we will also tell you which operator actually hosts it, so you can pursue it there.

Counter-notices and bad faith

If content of yours was removed and you believe that was wrong, reply to the decision email setting out why, with your contact details, and it will be reviewed again.

Deliberately false or bad-faith claims of infringement are not free of consequence: they can carry liability for the sender, and we will decline to process notices from a sender who repeatedly submits them.

Other kinds of complaint

For content you believe is illegal for reasons other than intellectual property, use DSA Reporting. For privacy and data requests, see the Privacy Policy.
